Experience the best of driving with a Lotus Exige. The lotus Exige is not that dissimilar to the Lotus Elise. Apart from it, it is like it has been on steroids!
The power and speed have been increased with it’s supercharger which makes a unique noise that is extremely addictive, almost like it is going to create a new black hole with the sucking noise of the supercharger – it’s that devastatingly awesome!
The way a Lotus Exige drives is nothing short of spectacular, while it is rear wheel drive is experiences almost zero understeer when driven correctly, you point it in the direction you want to go in and it goes there!
Oversteering, on the other hand can be seen quite easily, but just as easily corrected. Overall the Lotus handles great on the road and comes into it’s own on the racetrack. I believe it has been nicknamed the mosquito because it can manoevre at high speeds just like a mosquito can, which as a Lotus experience makes for an amazing driving day.
A Lotus Exige can be driven at a selection of racetracks in the United Kingdom. Silverstone is one circuit which offers Lotus driving experiences for those who have never driven a supercar in the past. It’s the ideal place to drive a supercar as there are instructors which go out in the passenger seat to instruct on how best to drive the Lotus Exige. Offering guidance and tips where necessary, the instructors want the person driving to have a wonderful fun filled day, so will help to relax the driver doing the Lotus Exige experience quickly.
Thruxton which is based in Andover offers Lotus experiences as well, Thruxton is a track made purposefully for driving experiences so people can rest assured they are in the right hands at Thruxton, which prides itself on having repeat customers because they enjoy the gift experience day out so much!
A lotus experience is a great choice of experience day for anyone who wants a real joy of a car to drive as well as something that’s going to shift pretty quickly and provide a rewarding drive when cornering at high speed!
Lotus is a British sports car made in Norfolk. The company was formed by Colin Chapman in 1952. The company had instant success both on the racing tracks and as a sports sedan. However, like all car companies in the 70s, Lotus also went through financial difficulties and had many new owners.
When Colin Chapman died in 1982, the car had already established itself as a premier car on the road racing circuit. In l986, the company was sold to GM and then went through several more ownerships.
Lotus also made a name by providing engineering design consultancy to other car companies like Opal, Saab and Saturn. Lotus engineering has also helped produce the Cortina, Vauxhall, Dodge spirit, Tesla Roadster, Toyota supra and Europa.
Lotus archived its greatest success on the Formula one circuit giving challenge to Ferrari for the Formula one championship for the past 30 years.
Today, the Elise has been introduced to the North American market. Sleek, with a Toyota engine it is a classy sports car. Other models in the US include the Exige which still needs to make a name.
Today Lotus has incorporated the Aluminum Performance Crossover for its new mid sized cars. These high powered, front mounted V6 engines have been available for some time in the USA.
In 2007, Lotus decided to make some new models of cars in the USA. The models to be developed in the USA include the Excel and the Spirit. For the future, Lotus engineering has dedicated itself to developing a new generation of hybrid and electric vehicles. While there is a lot of buzz about going green, current global downturn has put all plans on the shelf.
